About Us

The Adaptive Sports Foundation is a non profit organization that teaches sports to individuals five years of age and older who are cognitively or physically impaired. The ASF has been in operation since 1984 and has served thousands of special need individuals over the years. This past year we served approximately 1300 individuals and provided over 2600 lessons.

Located in Windham which is nestled in the Catskill Mountain Range of New York State, the Adaptive Sports Foundation calls Windham Mountain ski resort its home. With a brand new Adaptive Sports Center located slopeside to Windham Mountain, we are able to provide both winter and summer sports to our clients. Activities include skiing and snowboarding seven days a week from December – March and a variety of summer camps and activities including paddling, biking, horseback riding, tennis, swimming, fishing and windsurfing.

The Adaptive Sports Foundation is the largest adaptive sport program on the east coast and among one of the leading programs in the country. With over 180 highly trained volunteer instructors, participants enjoy a "student centered" environment where they can achieve success.
