To sign up for our Warrior in Motion events, you must sign up through Wounded Warrior Project®. If you are not a registered Alumni with WWP, please go to their site and register

Warriors in the appropriate geographical areas will receive a link to register in The Post that is emailed out from Wounded Warrior Project®. Winter Learn-To Ski and Snowboard Festival (January 7-10, 2016)

ASF’s annual Learn to Ski and Ride Festival for Wounded Warriors is a three day event which focuses on introducing the wounded warrior to the sport of skiing or snowboarding. Other activities include tubing and ice skating. The warrior, along with a guest, will enjoy an all expense paid winter getaway at the Adaptive Sports Foundation located slope side to Windham Mountain.

*Please note that this is a large event with over 200 people.  If you are not comfortable in crowds you may want to consider one of our other events which are more focused on a small group atmosphere.

Intermediate Skiing and Riding (January 26-28, 2016)

This course teaches Warriors intermediate and advanced skills and techniques of skiing and snowboarding. Participants will spend time with ASF coaches to move their skills beyond the novice zone and into skilled skiing and riding on more difficult terrain and in a variety of conditions. Participants must be independent skiers/riders and be comfortable on blue (intermediate) terrain.

*This is a small group event for 10-12 Warriors.

Learn-to-Race Camp and Level 1 Race (February 17-20, 2016)

The Eric D. Dettenrieder Race Camp offers new or experienced racers excellent coaching on technique and tactics. Any intermediate or advanced skier or rider with a physical or cognitive disability may participate. The Eric D. Dettenrieder Race Camp will be followed by a Diana Golden Level 1 Race.

*This event is not exclusively Wounded Warriors.  Racers from our Race Team, as well as other mountains typically attend this event in addition to Wounded Warriors.


Warrior Learn-To Ski and Snowboard (March 18-20, 2016)

ASF’s Warrior Learn to ski and snowboard is aimed at wounded warriors who would like a smaller more intimate event.  This event is for the warrior only and will have no more than approximately 10 participants.  This is a great opportunity for those who are not comfortable in large crowded environments and is looking to learn a new sport at the beginning of the winter season.  For beginning skiers and snowboarders only.


Instructor Training Course – Winter Sports (March 16-20, 2016)

This Instructor Training Course is open to wounded warriors who are intermediate skiers or snowboarders (comfortable on an intermediate trail) and interested in learning how to teach.
