We'll explore the Catskill Scenic Trail, beginning in Grand Gorge or Stamford and pedaling to points beyond. The Catskill Scenic Trail runs along the west branch of the Delaware River and features riding through beautiful country terrain, resting benches, fishing access, and stops at old train depots. The trail offers a hard-packed surface perfect for cycling and only changes elevation four hundred feet over the entire length of the trail. Participants will lunch at one of the many restaurants located adjacent to the trail and may stop for some fishing at one of the featured fishing holes. Beginning riders will learn cycling basics at areas adjacent to Windham Mountain.

Sled Hockey - NEW! September 23rd
No prior experience is needed - just bring your desire to learn a new sport! The ASF is excited to partner with the United Spinal Association and the Kiwanis Club of Poughkeepsie to offer an introduction to sled hockey. We will begin the day with a clinic on the skills of sled hockey and follow it up with a scrimmage. Sled hockey players compete in seats (similar to a mono-ski bucket) mounted on blades. They carry two shortened hockey sticks with a claw on one end for propulsion. Sled hockey is perfect for individuals with ambulatory challenges; but everyone is welcome to come learn about this fun and exciting adaptive sport. Sled hockey is one of the most popular Paralympic sports!

Full Day Program
Cost: $45
Clinic location: Kiwanis Ice Rink, Poughkeepsie, NY
More details will be mailed to you prior to the clinic day.
