Lesson Reservations

WeMakeWinterMoreFunThe mainstay of the ASF Winter Program is alpine skiing and snowboarding. Our students check in for their lesson, are fitted for their equipment, and meet their instructor right here in the Adaptive Sports Center. The slopes of Windham Mountain are easily accessed just out the door of the Center. People with cognitive or physical disabilities who are five years or older can participate.  Click here for information on our competition programs.

How do I make a reservation?
Step 1: Submit a Participant Registration Form. This form must be updated each season. You will not be able to secure a reservation until it is received.  Click here for the online participant form.
Step 2: Starting at 9:00am, on the appropriate day, make a reservation request online HERE (PLEASE ADD to your SAFE SENDER LIST so you will receive your confirmation email) or by calling the office at (518) 734-5070.  We are unable to accept reservations by fax or email.  You can book both weekend days one month prior to the Saturday date.  For example, if you’d like to make a reservation for the weekend of December 13, we will begin taking requests for both Saturday 12/12 and Sunday 12/13 starting at 9:00 am on November 12.  If you wish to make a reservation for a Sunday only, be sure to request one calendar month in advance of the Saturday date, as stated above.  Many participants come for both weekend days and if you call one month from the Sunday, it will already be full.  See below for a 2015-16 winter program calendar.

Step 3: You will be notified via email if we can confirm your reservation.  Please realize the number of participants we can accommodate relates directly to the number of volunteers we have on any given day. If you do not receive a confirmation email, you will be put on our waitlist and notified if an opening becomes available.  Included in the confirmation email will be a link to a waiver form that must be printed, signed and submitted on or before the first lesson of the season.  Copies, faxes and scans of this form cannot be accepted.  Original signed waivers may be mailed to ASF, PO Box 266, Windham, NY 12496.  You may also download the waiver by clicking here.

For the 2015-2016 season, the ASF will be adjusting our usual payment procedure.  Instead of charging a non-refundable $25.00 booking fee for each lesson date at the time a reservation is confirmed, you will be charged the $25.00 when you cancel a confirmed lesson date.  As always, if you do not call to cancel, you will be charged the full amount of the lesson.

What form of payment do you take?

We accept cash, personal checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel your lesson, please give us as much advance notice as possible.  If you do not call to cancel, you will be charged the full amount of the lesson.  NOTE:  On any day, the Program Director or Manager on Duty has the right to cancel any lesson if, in their opinion, the weather, snow conditions or the student’s present condition would create an unreasonable risk.
