Volunteer Ski or Snowboard Instructor
The Adaptive Sports Foundation is seeking volunteer instructors for the Winter Sport Program. Potential instructors need to be advanced intermediate skiers or riders. We take care of the rest. We will train you how to teach skiing and riding to people with special needs. Benefits of volunteering for the ASF’s winter program include complimentary skiing and riding and discounts on equipment. Commitment ranges from 10-16 days of teaching and 4-9 days of training.
Indoor Lodge Volunteer
The Adaptive Sports Foundation is seeking volunteers to help inside the Gwen Allard Adaptive Sports Center. We are looking for help with greeting students and families, fitting equipment, making sure the coffee and hot chocolate are fresh and plentiful, manning the “souvenir store” and stuffing numerous mailings. Minimal training is required (about 1.5 days).
Equipment Volunteer
The Adaptive Sports Foundation is seeking volunteers to help with the Adaptive Sports Center’s rental shop. We are looking for help with fitting ski and snowboard equipment, adjusting bindings, and keeping track of returned items at the end of the day. All volunteers must past a binding certification test given by the staff at the Adaptive Sports Foundation. Training required is approximately 2 days.
