26.2 for ASF! Adaptive Sports Foundation takes on NYC Marathon.

This year seven  members of the ASF family took on the challenge of running 26.2 miles in the NYC Marathon with the goal of raising $26,200 for their favorite non-profit, the Adaptive Sports Foundation.

Ed Hart has been an ASF volunteer ski instructor for over 25 years.  This was Ed’s 55th NYC Marathon and he wanted to commemorate it by running with his daughter.

For his 50th birthday, Shamus Barnes, Sr. wanted to check the NYC Marathon off his bucket list.  What better way to have a birthday celebration than to invite your family.  Son Shamus, Jr, daughter Kayla, sister, JoJo , and good friend Damian all ran with him.

Erika Greenblatt, is an ASF mom whose children are in our program and wanted to give back.

On Sunday, November 3rd, these amazing individuals took to the streets of NYC and ran 26.2 miles with their families
and friends cheering them on.  Everyone finished, everyone got a medal and everyone exceeded their fundraising goals raising over $35,000!

This mighty little group’s commitment to the Adaptive Sports Foundation is a huge inspiration to us all and embodies the very heart of our mission, empowering lives through adaptive sports.

Thank you to these dedicated runners for their hard work and commitment.
