The ASF’s Warriors in Motion® (WIM) program provides participating injured United States servicemen and women with a basic knowledge and practice of wellness and the importance of lifelong healthy living. Each event includes adaptive sports and nutrition instruction, as well as other healthful practices such as yoga, nutrition, and mindfulness. We view the time that veterans spend together as an essential part of their healing, so we make sure that there are periods of downtime that the participants can use to connect with each other. All Warriors in Motion programs are goal oriented and empower the warrior to take charge of their own fitness and wellness.
If you have never participated in the program before, or if you have had a major change in your medical status, please fill out the following Participant Form in addition to your sign-up form. This helps us understand how to support your needs during these activities and events.
SUMMER 2025
We hosted eight WIM programs this summer that took injured U.S. Veterans cycling, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, and golfing throughout the Catskill Mountains. WIM participants not only had a chance to exercise, but they also had the chance to take in the nature, fresh air, and beauty of the Northern Catskill Mountains and its surrounding areas. The ASF offers a wide variety of adaptive equipment to support each warrior’s ability to participate in each event. From battery-assisted handbikes to the Solo Rider adaptive golf cart, the ASF strives to provide an environment where anyone can experience the sport.
