WINDHAM, N.Y. – The Adaptive Sports Foundation (ASF) is excited to announce the appointment of Charity Guzofski and Meghan Hughes McGann to its Board of Trustees.
Charity Guzofski
Guzofski, the daughter of late ASF Chairman Robert Stubbs, is a seasoned public relations professional with experience in the beauty, fashion and lifestyle industries. For over two decades she has been a key member of RED PR, a boutique agency, where she has a proven track record of delivering exceptional results through her strategic thinking, meticulous attention to detail and strong client relationships.
“I’m honored to join the ASF Board of Trustees and carry on my father’s legacy,” Guzofski said. “I’m excited to contribute to ASF’s mission and I am committed to working with the ASF Board and staff to ensure that we are providing the highest quality programs and services to the individuals we serve.”
Her expertise extends to a wide range of PR activities, including event planning, media relations, content creation and client management. Charity’s ability to navigate complex projects and deliver flawless execution has earned her a reputation as a trusted advisor to her clients.
Beyond her dedication to client success, Charity enjoys a well-rounded life. She unwinds with her loved ones, indulging in skiing, traveling, enjoying live music and exploring new culinary experiences. Charity holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Delaware.
Meghan Hughes McGann
A longstanding member of the ASF and greater Windham community, Hughes McGann currently serves as an Account Director on the Public Affairs and Crisis team at Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis, a renowned independent communications and narrative consulting firm.
“I’m thrilled to continue my journey in empowering lives through adaptive sports as a Board Member with the ASF,” Hughes McGann said. “I cherish the friendships, memories and life lessons I have gained through my association here, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to further support this incredible organization.”
Prior to her role at Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis, Hughes McGann worked as a Confidential Assistant in the New York State Executive Chamber under Governor Andrew Cuomo. Her career began at Success Academy Charter Schools, where she spearheaded impactful advocacy campaigns for a school system serving 18,000 students, overseeing digital activism, volunteer management and community engagement. She received her master’s degree in education policy and management from Harvard Graduate School of Education and her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Human Development from Boston College.
Hughes McGann and the Hughes family’s involvement with the ASF spans nearly two decades. She started as a volunteer instructor, working with the ASF’s pioneering snowboard athletes and was a founding member of the ASF’s Snowboard Team. Her coaching experience includes participating in the United States of America Snowboard and Freeski Association Nationals Competition and the Special Olympics Unified Sports X-Games. Additionally, Hughes McGann founded the Adaptive Sports Foundation’s Young Professionals Group in New York City, dedicated to raising awareness for the organization’s vital work amongst younger generations. Her entire family has volunteered with ASF in many ways over the years and her mother, Dorothy Riordan Hughes is a proud member of the ASF Kitchen Crew, a group of volunteers who make and serve meals available to students and volunteers on weekends and holidays throughout the winter.
Inspired by the mission of the Adaptive Sports Foundation since she was 16-years old, Hughes McGann is excited to continue her involvement with the organization and looks forward to doing her part to help the ASF continue to grow.
