WINDHAM, N.Y. – The Adaptive Sports Foundation will host a one-day Warriors in Motion® (WIM) golf event Wednesday, Sept. 3, at Windham Golf Club, where injured veterans will receive morning instruction followed by an afternoon round of golf.
Windham Golf Club pro Jesse Muller will lead the instruction when the nine participating veterans arrive at 9:30 a.m. Half of the group will begin on the putting green to work on their short game, while the other half will practice on the driving range. Midway through the morning session, the groups will switch before heading to lunch at Mulligan’s Pub.
In the afternoon, the veterans will put their skills to the test during a full 18-hole round, playing in foursomes. The day will conclude with the veterans heading home with new knowledge and experience in the game.
This marks the final WIM event of the summer for the Adaptive Sports Foundation. In total, the organization hosted eight WIM events this season, promoting not only physical activity but also camaraderie among veterans.
The ASF will wrap up its summer slate with two more Adaptive Skateboard Camps, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 6, and Saturday, Sept. 20.
