Summary
Team ASF Runner Peter Conlan's NYC Marathon QandA
There will be eight runners representing Team ASF in the upcoming 2026 TCS New York City Marathon on Sunday, November 1. Will Boelter, Peter Conlan, Noah Cottrell, Phillip Hampton, William Reed and Maeve Riordan all received bibs in the marathon to raise money and awareness for the ASF, while Brian Conneely and Jim McGuire already had bibs for the marathon, but would like to take the opportunity to help the ASF as well!
We caught up with Peter Conlan to get to know him a little better and learn what inspires him to take part in this incredible journey. Please consider donating to Peter’s fundraising page by clicking here.
ASF: Running a marathon is no easy feat. What inspires you to participate in the TCS New York City Marathon?
PC: The challenge of committing to the training process day after day is something that inspires me to run this race.
ASF: What went through your mind when you decided to challenge yourself and sign up for the NYC Marathon?
PC: The NYC Marathon has always been one of the best days of the year in New York. I was just excited at the opportunity to represent the ASF in this amazing race and raise awareness of its empowering mission.
ASF: If your marathon training was a movie, what would be the title?
PC: “A Trip Around The Park”. The majority of my training runs have been countless laps around Central Park.
ASF: What advice would you give someone who may want to run a marathon?
PC: Enjoy the process. Looking back, the countless training runs in all different areas this summer and fall was something I wish I enjoyed more in the moment.
ASF: What do you listen to while running?
PC: During my runs, I often throw my iPhone on shuffle. It keeps my mind occupied during the long runs.
ASF: What part of the marathon route are you looking forward to the most?
PC: I am looking forward to hearing the roars of the crowd on Central Park South and seeing my family and friends as I approach the final stretch.
ASF: How do you plan on celebrating your accomplishment after crossing the finish line?
PC: I plan on celebrating with my family and friends and hopefully mixing in food other than running gels!
ASF: What is your favorite thing to do in the city?
PC: I love attending sporting events at Madison Square Garden. Especially St. John’s basketball games!
ASF: What does running for the Adaptive Sports Foundation mean to you, personally?
PC: I have witnessed first-hand the impact that the ASF has had on countless lives. I am honored for the opportunity to represent ASF during the NYC Marathon.
Good Luck Peter, and thank you for choosing to run with Team ASF in the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon!
