Adaptive Sports Foundation Welcomes Jay Galluzzo to Board of Trustees

WINDHAM, NY – The Adaptive Sports Foundation (ASF), a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering the lives of individuals with disabilities through adaptive sports, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jay Galluzzo to its Board of Trustees.

An experienced entrepreneur and investor, Galluzzo brings immense expertise in brand building, wellness, and hospitality, with a focus on growth strategy.

Galluzzo is best known as the Co-Founder and former CEO of Flywheel Sports, where he helped pioneer the boutique fitness movement, leading the company from concept to national expansion, and successful exit. He later joined North Castle Partners, a leading consumer private equity firm, where he invested in and served on the boards of high-growth lifestyle and wellness companies, including Barry’s Bootcamp and The Escape Game.

During his time at North Castle, Galluzzo also led the firm’s investment in Windham Mountain, serving as Executive Chairman from its inception through its transition to a new ownership group in 2023. His leadership helped shape Windham’s evolution as a destination grounded in community, outdoor recreation, and innovation.

“Jay brings a rare combination of strategic insight, operating experience, and genuine interest in making a difference,” said Vince Passione, Chair of the ASF Board of Trustees. “His understanding of and passion for our mission, paired with his deep ties to Windham will be an incredible asset to the ASF as we continue to increase our impact in the region.”

Galluzzo’s career also includes leadership roles at NeueHouse, Club Sports Group, and The Warnaco Group, where he drove expansion and advancement across hospitality, fitness and consumer products platforms. Today, he serves as a Partner at Wilbury Ventures, focusing on opportunities at the intersection of health, fitness, and technology. He also founded Cave Mountain Partners in 2024, through which he consults for and invests in high-growth boutique fitness and wellness brands.

A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Galluzzo earned his J.D. from Columbia Law School.

Apart from his professional accomplishments, Galluzzo holds the ASF very close to his heart. He and his partner, Colleen Crivello, have three children and two of them are active members of the ASF’s adaptive community. Gavin (16) and Alba (15), are both serving in Junior Instructor and Junior Instructor Training roles with the organization.

“The ASF has had a meaningful impact on our family and on so many others,” said Galluzzo. “The confidence, independence, and sense of belonging that adaptive sports provide are transformative. I’m honored to join the Board and support an organization that creates opportunity and joy for athletes of all abilities.”

When not on the mountain, the Galluzzo family can often be found walking the Windham Path with their children and their dog, Floyd.
